New Woodinville Tasting Room Open!
May 8th, 2023 - Long Shadows Vintners has opened its sleek, new two-story tasting room in Woodinville's Hollywood District and is now accepting reservations for seated tastings. The Walla Walla-based winery is best known for its portfolio of Columbia Valley wines inspired by vintners from around the globe.
Open House Celebration June 4th
Long Shadows will celebrate the new space with a public open house on Sunday, June 4. The grand opening will include a walking tour of the new facility with tasting stations throughout the building to allow visitors to explore the space while enjoying wine, music and small bites. Reservations to the event may be made at longshadows.com. Tickets are $30 per person, refundable with a minimum wine purchase of $60. A private grand opening for Long Shadows wine club members will be held June 3.
The new 7,400 sq ft. tasting room sports a modern, industrial vibe. Soaring 35-ft. ceilings, a double-sided, copper-cased fireplace, a dramatic backlit bar with granite countertops, polished cement floors with large area rugs, and a gleaming grand piano create an inspired, contemporary impression. Soft, upholstered chairs and comfortable leather sofas punctuate the first-floor seating area. Sliding glass doors lead to the Key Club Lounge, open exclusively to Long Shadows' wine club subscribers, and a private event room suitable for intimate dinners, curated tastings or business meetings. Upstairs, three fire pits, heat lamps and plentiful seating invites guests to settle into the covered upper deck for a casual, outdoor tasting. Strata Architects designed the space. The opening of the new tasting room coincides with Long Shadows' 20th anniversary. "Since our founding, Long Shadows has been about bringing people together. We wanted this new facility to celebrate our community by designing a place to gather," said Long Shadows president & CEO Dane Narbaitz. "Our goal was to create an environment that reflects the quality of our wines in a setting that welcomes our supporters and invites those new to Long Shadows to discover our wines."
Long Shadows' new Woodinville tasting room is open Sunday – Thursday from noon - 5 pm and Friday and Saturday from noon – 6 pm. It is located at 14200 NE 145th Street, adjacent to DeLille Cellars. Seated tastings are offered daily, and guests are invited to enjoy a flight of wines from a tasting menu designed to appeal to various interests and palates. Flatbreads and charcuterie boards are also available. Tasting reservations are strongly encouraged and may be made from the winery's website. Long Shadows opened its original Woodinville tasting room in 2011. The wines are made at a state-of-the-art winery in Walla Walla. The winery is also home to Long Shadows' Chihuly Tasting Room, which opened in 2007. USA Today readers voted the Walla Walla winery to its "10 Best" tasting room list for four consecutive years, selecting the Walla Walla location as the nation's best in 2022.
